Step into the world of Old Hollywood elegance with this breathtaking vintage emerald-green glass rivière necklace — a rare and extraordinary piece preserved in its original form. With its deep, saturated green stones and hand-wrought brass settings, this necklace captures the romantic luxury of 1940s–early 1950s costume craftsmanship.
Its presence is undeniable: dramatic, sophisticated, and executed with a level of detail that is seldom seen today.
This radiant rivière features large 16+ mm round emerald-glass stones, each prong-set in antique brass open-back settings that allow the light to pour through. The stones graduate gracefully toward the neckline, transitioning into six smaller 8.21 mm rounds near the clasp for a balanced, couture silhouette.
A beautifully patinated antique brass lobster-style clasp secures the necklace, accompanied by a 2.5-inch extender adorned with its original Czech glass dangle. Every element — from the hand-linked chain to the soldered brass cups — speaks to the craftsmanship of mid-century ateliers.
All stones remain in excellent condition, displaying a rich green hue that evokes natural emeralds. This necklace comes from my personal collection and represents an exceedingly rare colorway and size combination.

Styling Notes
A statement piece that transforms any look — from evening gowns to minimalist black tops. Its deep emerald tone pairs beautifully with gold, black, champagne, ivory, and winter whites. This is the kind of necklace worn by women who love drama, history, and regal color.
Collector's Note
Emerald-green rivières from this era are exceptionally rare, especially in this size and condition. The patina, construction, and original Czech glass dangle date this piece firmly to the 1940s–early 1950s, during the golden age of handcrafted costume jewelry.
This necklace is archived in my Private Collection due to its extraordinary craftsmanship, color saturation, and irreplaceability. Should a similar piece ever surface again, it is unlikely to match this level of preserved beauty.
