This is one of those unsigned vintage pieces where the construction speaks for itself.
A dramatic articulated statement necklace featuring rich emerald-green glass cabochons individually bezel set within elaborate textured gold-tone metalwork. The oversized pendant is composed of multiple connected openwork sections, allowing the entire design to move and drape beautifully rather than sitting rigidly against the body.
The pendant has wonderful dimension. Ornate filigree-style scrollwork surrounds the green glass cabochons, while numerous geometric gold-tone drops create movement along the lower edge. The deep green glass against the exceptionally well-preserved vintage gold finish gives this necklace a luxurious, almost jewel-like presence.
Even the chain deserves attention. Textured elongated links continue the decorative character of the pendant and finish with a fold-over clasp.
