Vintage Confetti Lava Glass Cabochon & Aurora Borealis Rhinestone Brooch – Mid-Century Designer Statement | Private Collection

This rare mid-century brooch is a breathtaking statement of collectible costume jewelry design. Measuring 2 ½ inches tall by 2 ½ inches wide, it showcases three luminous confetti lava glass cabochons, each alive with fiery opalescent flecks of gold, red, violet, and pink. At its heart rests a brilliant aurora borealis rivoli stone, framed by ruby-red navette glass and prismatic AB chatons that flash with pink and violet tones. Every stone is glass, cut and set with masterful precision.

The ornate gold-tone cast setting features dimensional star-prong details and open-back construction, allowing light to dance through the cabochons. A long pin stem with secure rollover clasp ensures balance and wearability. Though unsigned, the craftsmanship and bold fantasy stone design reflect the artistry of Beau Jewels, Judy Lee, or Juliana (DeLizza & Elster) pieces from the 1950s–1960s.

Preserved in excellent vintage condition, this brooch represents one of the most exceptional examples of mid-century fantasy glass jewelry.
