A striking antique early 20th-century serpent ring crafted in tested 14K rose gold, designed in a substantial triple-coil wrap silhouette with beautiful hand-worked detailing and unmistakable old-world character.

Estimated to date to approximately circa 1900–1930, the ring features a sculptural serpent that coils gracefully around the finger. The head and body are enhanced with intricate engraved and textured detailing, beautifully contrasted against the smoother polished surfaces of the warm rose gold.

The serpent was originally designed with two gemstone eyes; both stones are now missing. The original eye settings remain visible and are shown clearly in the photographs. The ring is being offered in its current estate condition, giving its next owner the option of preserving it exactly as found or having two gemstones professionally selected and set.

Substantial at 7.83 grams, this is not a lightweight or delicate piece. The weight of the solid gold combined with the wide triple-coil construction gives the ring a commanding, sculptural presence on the hand.

The warm patina and character of the rose gold complement the hand-engraved serpent beautifully, creating the kind of individuality that is difficult to reproduce in contemporary jewelry.

Serpent jewelry has a long history within fine jewelry and is traditionally associated with eternity, transformation, renewal and protection. The motif became particularly fashionable during the 19th and early 20th centuries and has remained one of the most enduring forms of symbolic jewelry.
