Add a striking historic centerpiece to your accessory gallery with this exquisite antique Art Nouveau hair comb — a dramatic, formal piece dating to the Edwardian / early 1910s era.

Crafted in deep, glossy black celluloid, this comb features elaborate openwork scrolls and botanical motifs characteristic of early 20th-century design. The upper dome is adorned with hand-set pink glass rhinestones, arranged in a graceful, crown-like pattern that glitters beautifully when placed in the hair.

Measuring an impressive 6½ inches in total length and 4½ inches across the top, this comb was designed to sit proudly in an updo, adding height, contrast, and refined antique elegance. The five long prongs, each about 3⅛ inches, allow secure placement even in thick or styled hair.

This piece presents exceptionally well and remains a rare example of early rhinestone-accented Art Nouveau craftsmanship.

Collector's Note

Large black Art Nouveau combs with intact rhinestone patterns are becoming increasingly scarce. This piece, with its scale, intricate pierced design, and original glass stones, is representative of hair ornaments worn from 1905–1915, during the shift from Victorian formality to Edwardian elegance.

A true antique treasure for any serious collector.
